3rd gen prelude seats in eg
I found some mint 3rd gen prelude seats in a junk yard that I'm going to put in my eg. I searched but couldn't find an exact answer as to how to get them to fit. So here's my theory
the prelude seats will directly fit a DA.
DA seats will fit EG with a pan swap.
prelude will fit EG with pan swap?
does that make sense?

Sounds like a reasonable assumption.

Re: 3rd gen prelude seats in eg
To be honest, I have not seen to many people willing to go beyond rail swaps as the covers have those upholstery circle staples that once removed, I do not think are easy to replace or re-install.
A seat pan I believe would require removal of the cover.
I know when I tore a seat apart I realized I don't have the experience to put it back together as well as it was by factory. And I really am not sure too many people know the trick or have shared the trick of doing it.

I agree. The best posts that I found are old and the pictures don't work. I'm just going to get them and figure it out. They re only $35 for the pair. And while ugly They're super comfy and different

I've done many seat swap in many different cars. 4runners, e30s, e36s, civics, I think the best way is to keep the rails on but cut off the little feet on the rails and weld/bolt new feet on or build a adapter bracket

1985 e30 with 2001 e32 seats
toughest seat swap I've done huge 7 series seats into a 1985 325e power leather. 1/4" on each side of the seat

yeah I've read that a few people cut the feet off and reweld them which seems easier that doing the pan swap. I guess I wont know for sure until I actually get the seats and see how far off the mounting points are
