3rd gears grindin whatshould i do until i can afford a new trans.
my third gear grinds when i get over 20 mph so im doible clutching right now what else could i do to keep it from grindin and when i get the money what exactly do i need to buy

the syncromesh will work wonders, even if it's really bad it will get to where you can slow shift with no grind. get some. YOu can buy it at a gm dealership

Or you can buy the penzoil one which is 3-4 bucks instead of 10-15...
Also be sure to get the "friction modified" one...
If you search you'll find several threads on it... at least one of which that has the part numbers for both the GM and the penzoil equivelant...
I've used the non-friction modified and wasn't anymore impressed with it than any other MTL of equal quality/price...
I have nothing but good things (besides the price) to say about Redline's MTL... it took my grinds and SERIOUSLY loud whirring out of my tranny and it's been quite ever since with over 50k on it since I was shopping for a new tranny...
Although I've heard people say that it allegedly causes pre-mature bearing failure in honda trannies... but I don't have any experience with that at all...

The GM friction Modefies is pricey, but i cured my grind issues. I noticed better feel immediatly, and about 1200 miles later the grind was completely gone. I give it
