Default 350z Projectors + 350z HID setup + my hatch = Sweet' 56k?? Dunt think so'

Setup is from a 04 Nissan 350Z - HIDs and Projectors.
Tyc Clear EG Housings... The beam pattern is nice, I will include a write-up soon..

My question is should i upgrade or add a inline fuse to this setup?
i posted this in the appearence forum as well... w/o the question...

what you should do is make a shroud around it so you dont get glare

i wanna keep the foglights a secret so i can be on my own. to stand out from the crowd catch my drift?

Retro looks good bro ill stop hijackin ur thread now.

BTW i hope you upgraded your wiring instead of hooking it up to your stock harness. if u hooked it up to your stock harness it wont be very long til u fry the wiring.

i would add the shroud. also, if your using a kit to tap off your stock wiring, since it draws 35W opposed to 55W, you will be ok, and stock Honda wiring is pretty good anyways. I would add an inline fuse though, to play it safe if youd like. although your car has a fuse for those wires. Assuming this HID kit isnt **** (it is a nissan tho) you should be fine as is.

Should have picked up other projectors rather than from 350Z.
The 350Z uses those projectors with its reflectors which means you still won't get the full potential out of it. It could cause glare and blind on coming traffics also. I believe it uses D2R bulb that made for reflector housings.

I can see the light leaking out of it and right is a lot higher.

YOU ARE WRONG!!!! do not post false information

Honda wiring 20 gauge. 20 gauge is good up for 11 amps max.
during warmup the HID's can spike at 18 AMPS. this will destroy your wiring. trust me i know this first hand. Upgrade your wiring!!! and if u think im wrong then go over to HIDplanet.com and ask them if am wrong. i know my ****

Yep.. I noticed that too.. today I will fix that and add a shroud around the bulb.

Thanks for all your input and comments.

not bad but the 350 uses half the projector and half on the reflector for its full effect so in a way your getting half the output you should have with any other projector.

If you knew your shi, you wouldn't have had a problem the first time. You learned it from someone else, who learned it from someone else and so forth. So if this guy goes his entire H.I.D. life without ever having a problem with it, are you going to tell him, "I told you so"? Upgrading wiring is recommended as a precaution, but is not always a necessity.

what you need to do on the wiring, is hook up the hids directly to your battery using some nice gauged wire, and have a relay, and the OEM stock wires is what tells the relay to come on.

No, he learned it first hand on his own wiring harness in his own car. Thanks for trying though.

Listen to JDMlifestyle.
