3000 rpm idle after installing a gsr TB new gasket too

Default 3000 rpm idle after installing a gsr TB new gasket too

so I got me a new daily not to long ago. a 2000 civic ex w/ y8. had a couple parts laying around so I've been throwin little bolt-ons on it to make it a little fun. put a gsr 60mm TB on it with a NEW gasket, reset the ecu, but is still reving at 3k at idle. is there something I missed? newbie's please don't just throw guesses on here. thanks HT

did you calibrate your tps?

but he didn't say if he swapped his tps or not. Besides, whos to say the tps is set right on the gsr tb......... Just an idea.........

yeah i think your right frankenghia. swapped the TB back to the stock one and it went back to normal. first thing i thought of when it did it was the tps. it's the factory tps on the gsr TB but it's probly set differently. went ahead and left the stock one on for now. tomorrow I'll check the resistance on both and see if theres a difference between the two (which will more than likely be different) and adjust accordingly. thanks for the help guys, I'll post my findings tomorrow on here
