300$ for a d16z6 good price?
i know this guy and i need a new z6 cause the one in my 90 hatch burns to much oil
i told him i just need the bare motor no manifolds/fuel rail/just the bare motor and the sensors
so i was thinking i shoudl offer him 300$
but i didnt say anything so he finally just said how about 300$
is this a good price?

Bare or do you mean a longblock minus both the manifolds? It's going to vary depending upon area but someone in your area should still be able to come in and answer a bit more with this information.

complete motor in good condition should be around 400-600.
its a tough call though, because these motors to people who dont care are really only worth like 200 bucks

buy it and build it for boost, then boost the motor you have in there now until it breaks, then put your built motor in and make 300hp

you might as well pick up the entire motor from him if he said 300. you never know wat u can do with a bunch of misc. parts around. you can either sell those parts to make money back or u can practice port/polishing manifolds. just offer em 300 and take as much as u can off him. he wont want them anyways.

I paid 500 for a complete d16z6 swap including tranny wire harness and ecu
i wouldn't pay anymore depending on the miles on the motor

Re: (JDMlyfestyle)
I just bought my z6 longblock a couple weeks ago for 2 bills. it was complete, throttle body to exhaust manifold, valve cover to oilpan. 3 bills doesn't sound that bad if it's in really good condition with everything
