well i remember seeing some thing about removing the middle layer would give u a better CR if ur doing a all motor project but can't seem 2 find the forum is this true i remember it said u will go from 11.1 to12.1 compression im just woulding is this true or just lies...

that seems like a pretty significant gain for removing just 1 layer but with the small combustion chambers that Honda motors have i suppose its possible, but i cant imagine its possible without compromising the integrity and intention of the gasket. have you considered getting your head planed instead? i know if you take enough off you start to retard ignition timing but that would require more research to see just how much.
