2nd Opinion
my 4dr eg mini swap sometimes has a hard time starting. i turn the key and nothing happens other than a oil, battery, and vtec light turning on. no noise going off or anything. my starter doesnt go off either. At other times it start up just fine or i turn the key and the lights i mention turns on and then suddently it starts. so im thinking it is either bad grounding or the starter, but im not sure. i know for sure it has to be electrical. what do you guys think?

you can always look at the transmission ground cable to see if it's torn of worn out
the thing you can't see is your starter solenoid.. could be bad.
find a cheap starter or borrow one from a friend and see if that works.
either way i would check the ground cable anyway

I found out my tranny ground was not completly connected. i must have forgot to tighten it when i installed my new tranny. it hasnt failed to start on me so far since i tighten the ground so problem is fixed for now
