2k1 suspension on 2k???
ok so i made another post about creamin a curb the other day... long story short, i had the car towed to an alignment/suspension shop and they said i had bent the lower control arm and that they could go to a junk yard and fix it... so i go to work and they say i'll be able to pick it up tomorow sometime since i have to work today... here's the funky part, they went to the junkyard and got the part for a 2000 civic and when they got back they said it wouldn't fit... they said my car was built in august of 2000 so that it was a 2k1 model... they told my mom all this over the phone... so now i'm just like wtf??? they changed EVERYTHING in 2k1 didn't they... my car has 2000 body, 2000 engine, 2000 interior, everything... why would it have a 2k1 lca... or are these people just dumbasses???

yeah, i KNOW my car is a 2000... if it were a 2k1, it should show up as that on the title and the bank that we're financing it through as well as the insurance company would know... i know when i bought the car they said something about hitting something and i think it has new fenders and hood, but why go to the trouble of swapping in an entire (and from what i've heard inferior as well) 2k1 suspension??? it is beyond me...
did they start using 2k1 parts on 2k's in late 2000 or something...

yeah, so in the latest developement i called the shop where i had it this morning at like 7 before i went to class... i spoke to the manager and when i said that there was absolutely no way my car was a 2001, he sounded kinda freaked out and said "oh, uhh, well our mechanic isn't here yet so call back later and you can talk to him..." well i have class all day till noon and i knew he would have ordered the part by then, so asked my mom to call up there and tell them not to order that part cause i wasn't payin an extra couple hundred for parts i don't need... i called her between one of my classes and she said the mechanic told her he had already gotten the part from honda, but they got a really good deal on it so it would be the same price that they had quoted earlier.... RIIIGHT sounds like they hought they could screw us and then met a person who actually knew their *** from a hole in the ground... damn scammers...

What a buntch of dumb asses 2k and 2k1 are completely different. I had a friend who got screwed in a simular situation he ordered a camber kit and they said the 2000 kit would work on his 2k1.
