215-45-17 will it rub??
thinkin of bling blingin my ride up a bit with new bigger rims. (I have mugen 15" now, yes i know they are lighter, etc, etc) Just goin for a new look since I will be repainting the car and goin for a more euro look with my 4 door. Just wonderin if they rub because of width being 215. I want as wide a tire as possible.
Thanx for any help

I dont have any problems with 215/45/16 but my car isint dumped either.
A 45 tire may be too tall on a 17" rim as well. You may need a lower profile so the outerdiameter is closer to stock other wise you will be 4X4ing.

It will depend largely on the offset of your wheel. Also 215-45-17 is too big. Should be 205-40-17. The 215-45 would have an extra 15mm of sidewalll, so overall tire diameter would increase by nearly 1.25".

Thanx for all the replys, I wanted a 45 series for a better ride and to help fill wheel wells since i only have about a 1.6" drop. Any more comments or concerns, bring em on! I did a search too, it seems people are leaning one way or the other with no definite answers
