205/50R14 on a 14 inch steelie ? Will it fit ?

I've searched and I've seen people say 185 is the biggest you can go, some say 195 and even others say they have a 205 on their steelie...so who's right and who's wrong ?

I want to buy some drag radials today !

For 205 tires the general rule of thumb is 5.5~7.5 wide rims. Im sure there are some people that would disagree.

Re: (moto27cm)

Depending on how wide they are, some places won't mount a 195, much less a 205.

I've got 195/60's on my Si steelies...14 x 6 I think.

most honda steelies are 5-5.5" wide, other makers such as Mazda, Nissan use 6" steelies.

I know Dunlop makes a 55 series, but i can honestly say that i have never seen a 50 series 14" tire. Just wondering

BFG G-Force Drag Radials come in the size I listed...thats exactly what I want to buy. Kind of worried they won't fit https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

Re: (Prod)

Whaaaaaaaat! they even make a 225/45/14 That would make for a decent Drag tire... have fun turning at the end of the quarter though https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

I just ordered the 205/50's ....hello traction https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

they actually decrease my overall tire height just a little bit as well which of course indirectly makes my final drive shorter https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif all good things

i've got 195's on a 14" steelie,

I think 205's could fit without any major problems.

beware about the overall diameter though,
my 195's are FREAKIN huge,
they're as big as 205-45-16's.
