2005 Civic LX Intake question
Hi Guys,
I used to own a 97 Civic Hx but the tranny was on the way out again for the second time. I will never get a CVT again. Anyway I am trying to keep the new one simple, but I am eager to get the intake in there. Does anyone know if the intake for the 2004 LX will fit in the 2005.
From what I can see the intake is for 2001 - 2004. But then again the 2005 just came out so who knows.
TIA

Re: 2005 Civic LX Intake question (Angel7365)
youre wasting your money on engibe mods for your single cam automatic,
hate to break it to you but theres almost no potential.
Just keep your car clean and the engine stock - do whatever you want to the stereo and exterior.....
If you want to race, you should have bought a different car (or swap a K20 in!)
Why is you tranny out for the 2nd time?
good luck.

Re: 2005 Civic LX Intake question (YOUR MAMA)
YOURMAMA said it pretty well man, sorry to break it to ya.
best advice i can give ya is dont do anything stupid to the car! one day you'll probably wanna sell it and the more customized it is, the less people are gonna wanna buy it, plain and simple. no matter how cool you think it is, keep that in mind.
i'd do a short ram intake either way if you live in rainy areas. theres a just just posted about his problems with hydrolocking his engine cuz of a CAI.

Re: 2005 Civic LX Intake question (ek9hatch0WN3R)
Well this car is something to get me to and from work, I just miss the old intake in my 97 civic. I am going to keep this stock, intake is the only thing I want. I opted to get the short ram anyway. Easier to clean now, I wont have to get on the floor to get to the damn filter.
Who said anything about racing anyway. Just because I want the little growl that comes with the intake doesnt mean I am going to try to put this car on the track or something.
Thanks for the replies..
