Why would you buy one of those? Just curious. They look ugly as hell you'd be better off finding a nice 99-00 si if you want something new new and put some money into mod's. Had a couple problems already? I have had my 99 Si since march without and its never been in the shop since its been "born" except of course when it got some front end damage.

It isn't all that from the factory. Get some new wheels...lower it, and drive like that for a couple years. Then, once you have some miles out of the original engine swap a K20A2 in there.
I think all the new Si needs is some love....

true. slap on the ctr body kit, drop it, and add some rims if you're looking for show. for go, swap in the rsx type r from japan. jspecjdm.net has a complete swap for k20a for 6750!!

Re: 2002 Civic Si (Token Blk Guy)
I almost bought a 2002 SI, then luckily I was walking into a store and saw this 92 with a for sale sign on it, turbo B16A 2nd gen lotsa parts over $20,000. invested bought it for 10k... could not be happier, look around for someone elses project, best investment I ever made, if you do get a new SI I'll see you in my rearview....

I've seen them go as low as 14k so bargin with them. Offer them 14 and if they say no give them your number and wait. If you like the looks of the car and like the way it drives then buy it. Don't worry about what other people say, they don't have to drive it everyday!

Re: 2002 Civic Si (Token Blk Guy)
i would never trade in a lude sh for the new 2002-3 si they are heavy as hell (suspension) i believe they are almost a second slower than the previous gen and the looks are very questionable. plus the rims suck they are ugly and they are too small should have went with 16' or 17's. it would look good if it had a ctr kit. the one good thing about the car is the inside, phat suede seats, awesome small leather steering wheel same as in the rsx-s. how many miles do u have on ur prelude?

Re: 2002 Civic Si (BAR-F1)
if you want a car with 75% more torsional rigidity or 22% more bending rigidity than the previous model get an SI.
or with more torque, or better interoir, or current styling, or easier shifter, or....
you can change the wheels, so thats not really a good argument. honda put a lot of research and development into the new model. all the way down to the body gap tolerances, which are somewhat reputable now.

civic disobedience: wheres the enjoyment of buying someone else's project? buying someone else's project is no fun at all. plus you dont really get any credit for the car, only the money you put out to buy it. i have an 02 civic si and i like it. check out http://www.ephatch.com there is alot of pics and facts about the car there.

Re: 2002 Civic Si (Token Blk Guy)
ok. so I didnt build the car, but I am making it better, I am continuing what the last owner started, I am planing on building a bullet proof b20 bottom end, as well as many other things, I am happy with my purchase, I was just sharing my slant on things, if you want modern comfort and reliability then go for it, if you want max performance then consider what Im saying....thats all

Re: 2002 Civic Si (flybert)
get the Si, it's safe to say lots of people here are afraid of "change" so they don't want you to trade in the SH. they're not driving it, YOU are!
