2002 Honda Civic SI
I just bought a 2002 Honda Civic SI . And was wondering if anyone else had this car and had any feedback on the installation of an AEM Cold Air Intake with the bypass valve. Im thinking about installing one myself. I also found the cheapest price was around $230.00 . Anyone have any feedback on this ? Thank's,

I don't think your 99 Si CAI will fit on a 02 Si.
I dont think it will either. isnt the firewall closer on that engine bay?

umm by the time water gets anywhere near where it can hurt your motor.... 99.9% of the time it evaporates.... but hey spend the extra cash if it makes you feel better... i see it as a waste..i live north of pittsburgh and we get the same **** weather as you and i have yet to hear of a case of someone ruinin their engine due to not having a by-pass valve.

if you want some feedback go to http://www.ephatch.com and search for it. there is alot of info on that site. and no the 99 si intake will not fit on the 02 si. completely different design.

Re: 2002 Honda Civic SI (George Knighton)
yeah good idea, i think i'll do that but anyway. Do you have any sort of problems with the electric steering? For some reason it seems like it's a little to sensetive to the road and im always turning the wheel slightly counter-clockwise, maybee it's really sensetive the the road crown. I brought it to the Honda dealership and they said there was nothing wrong with it at all and adjusted the tire preasure. I go in for an oil change in about 1.5k miles, i'll see what's going on then.

To install a CAI on an EP3 do you have to move the winshield washer resivor like the RSX?
P.S. I live in CT and use my CAI year round, (without the pansy bypass valve) and I've never had any problems.

Re: 2002 Honda Civic SI (George Knighton)
hey nice to see someone else with a new EP3. I have one too now, its a pretty fun little car but i think my gsr was a lil more fun than the Si.
To everyone cmon now guys dont hate on the new Si, give it some time theyre actually pretty decent, just a bit on the hefty side.
As for the AEM CAI, might wanna wait and see wut Comptech makes, they shud have an Icebox out within the next few months, if youc an wait the AEM or Injen is the way to go.

"Icebox",hmm, sounds neat. Is that something that usses electricity to cool the air intake kinda like a small A/C or something? that would be a good idea. I dont know to much about this stuff, what exactly is it? Maybee i will wait for that, probobly get's alot more HP than the intake anyway.
