2001 Gsr Motor swap into my 2000 civic sohc non vtec help please
 

I need help please, First i would like to apoligize if this topic has appered a million times.
Any information, would be greatly apreciated.
I have a 2000 honda civic 4dr. The motor is a sohc non v-tec. It is a Candian Model (Se) If that Makes any diffrence. I have Auto Transmission. The swap i would like to do is this. A motor out of a 2001 gsr with the 5 speed gsr tranny and Axles. The motor comes with the ecu.
Any info on this swap would be so helpful.

My warrenty is done, So theres no isuue there.
Does anybody know how i will get the v-tec to work, do i need a v-tec contoroller?

I though that EKs had the same tranny mount no matter if it's auto or manual. I thought it only was for EGs.

you are correct.

the tranny mount location does not need to be cut and re-welded.

Thanks for the help so far, I have been reading up on the project. I have found alot of great information even though some of it conflicting. My hope for this form was to find somone who has documented the same swap with pictures. I am still searching for that.
I starting my swap in a couple of weeks and will be documenting the whole thing step by step with pictures. I will post it, if it is posible.
