2001 Civic LX Custom Intake question.
So me and some buddies are working on my friends civic lx. We want to make a custom intake, however, we are trying to remove the current intake box, and when you take that sensor wire off the check engine light comes on. How can we get around this? How important is this wire? And the other box, to the left of the engine, thats just a big resenator or what?

yes.that's a resonator.i'm assuming the sensor you're talking about is the Intake Air Temp sensor.you need to make a hole in the new intake and mount it to the new intake.
