2000 SI Transmission problems
Hey everyone. Ive had tranny problems with my SI almost since I've had it. The last time I did it happened to be my master cylinder, which I replaced, but now its not like it used to be, its very hard shifting and i always am forced to take it easy on the tranny or it will grind the gears. It makes a squealing noise and I can hear it spinnig up when i push down on the clutch. Also Im not sure if this is a part of it but if I am in neutral and keep my foot off the clutch and start to push it into a gear without the clutch down, the car start to act like its going to die, Im not sure if thats is normal or one of the problems. Thanks for the help

Why are you trying to force it into gear without pushing in the clutch? Are you trying to create more problem?
When was the last time you did a tranny drain and fill?
Grinds could mean your synchros are getting bad from abuse.
Check clutch fluid and level it up.
Or your clutch is not working properly.

Noise when you push the clutch down is a bad clutch bearing. Sounds like the clutch set should be replaced.
Probably nothing wrong with the transmission itself unless you keep abusing it like Civic402 said.
