2000 SI THROTTLE BODY, ANYONE have this problem???????
so i bought an 2000 si w/ 68kmi and i noticed that the spring on the throttle body is dirty, then i look inside the throttle body and see that its also dirty. the dirt i think is causing my car to stall out after i rev the engine. it seems like the spring action is not causing the throttle body to close all the way and its not letting in enough air , therefore causing the car to stall. Any other SI owners have this problem?????

Maybe, dirt on the spring doesnt really matter a whole lot, those all get dirty after a while so i doubt that will fix your problem. My T-body sticks closed sometimes.

my t-body got stuck closed too but i cleaned it and now it doesnt. it opensand closes completely and opens up with no problems. i also put more tension on the spring so it would close

these are just signs of your car asking you for a new throttle body... most likely a 68mm
