Default 2000 si exhaust

I've done searches here but didnt' find exactly what i was looking for so i though i'd just explain in detail.

I am looking for an exhaust for a 2000 Si that isn't loud as hell, but you can tell that i do have a new exhaust system, something that would not drown out conversation on the highway and something thats not too low hanging (goddamn kansas) thanks so much in advance, and sorry if i missed anything in search that could of answered this

im sure there are plenty of posts on the noise level of exhausts.
i found some when i was purchasing mine a while back.

for the most part on the si-which i assume by your username you have as well-most say for not too loud but nice go with:

Greddy Evo
Apexi WS
Comptech
Mugen TL
DC sports

louder exhausts tends to be like
Tanabe RM
or the Apexi N1

most of these exhausts will sit lower than your stock exhaust because the piping size and canister is larger...but it wont be like those 6in exhaust tips you see at pep boys.

im running the Tanabe Racing medallion. i like the looks-sound is alright...not as loud as the one on a lude i know, or on my bro's integ.

my cousin runs the Greddy Evo-sounds nice and i guess you can say throaty.

though as mentioned-the greddy SP is nice as well.

pretty much any catback exhaust will be fine...they all produce the same gains and as long as you stay away from the N1 and racing medallion you should be fine.

its really just a manner of what styling you prefer.

what do you guys think of the Mugen Twin Loop, from the reviews i've been reading it seems to be the ideal exhaust for a 2000 si, what do you guys think? thanks a lot.

The Mugen TL is just a muffler. You will have to get custom 2.25" piping if you want power. For the price I'd rather go with one of the other ones listed.

alright so it is pretty quiet JDMsiguy? because i wnat one that will be until vtec hehe,

and kansas has some ghetto-*** roads i tell you what, my splash guard is warped a little and bends down and every speedbump, dip there is a nasty scraping sound bc my cars lowered.. i'm going to cut it off soon.. anyways thanks for all your guy's help, i've narrowed it down to the evo 2 or the hytech twin loop, thanks
