Default 2000 si

just wanted to get some advice on what i was going to do....i was going to get a obd2-1 conversion and use a chipped p28 ecu and tune and dynoed with chrome or neptune for 200 dollars at a local performance shop....i was wondering if this will help my car better or should i just stick with stock fuel maps from a p30....my motor is stock with a test pipe, 2.25 apexi pipping with a 5zigen axle back and an intake....
