2000 Honda Civic SiR Problems :(
So I bought this car about 2 months ago. It's a 2000 Honda Civic SiR with a B16A2 Motor. Since buying this car it has caused a lot of headaches such as 2 days after buying it the Idler Arm pulley fell off and jammed in my crank costing me 300 Dollars to fix. Anyways.
I seem to be having a major problem with gas mileage. I'm getting about 260km to a tank of gas which is absolutely brutal.
Here is the run down.
I run supreme gas constantly, I run Mobil1 Synthetic Oil and I have been shifting at around 3000rpm to save gas and been driving it really easy. It has stainless steel headers with a full skunk2 exhaust and a skunk2 cold air intake. Maybe with those mods my mileage should be affected but definetly not as bad as it is.
I'm thinking it could be my o2 sensor. I had it up on the hoist the other day and noticed the one near that cat was just hanging but I don't think theres an option to even plug it in on this exhaust. The guy I bought the car off had the CEL light removed or somthing so thats kind of annoying.
So the to do list for this is:
Check o2 Sensors
Run a can of seafoam (possible carbon buildup causing poor mileage?)
Change plugs
Change wires
Could anybody tell me what else could be possibly wrong or give me an idea on how much on avg kilometers I should be getting to a tank because 260 seems ridiculous
Problem 2: My heat gauge in my cluster doesn't work. Well it work's slightly after a while it will get up to maybe 1/8 of the way up. My car never spits out extremely warm air even after being run for a while. Lukewarm at best. What could be the cause of this? Could it be related to the first issue?
Problem 3: High Idle. I am assuming this is high idle. My car idles at approximately 1200RPM when cold and maybe around 1100RPM when warm. This seems a little high to me. Also going approximately 110KMH down the highway in 5th gear with cruise control on my car is buzzing around 3800RPM. Again, this also seems high. What could this be?
Sorry for the disorganization but if anybody has suggestions to any my problems it'd be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Re: 2000 Honda Civic SiR Problems :(
its an SIR so it's going to rev high on the hwy. fix the o2 sensor re-install the bulb for the check engine light. the pull the codes (look in FAQ at top) and sounds like you need a new thermostat don't worry about the idle till you fix the other problems

o2 sensor hanging ? not installed ? wow.
that is probably the root of your issues
have the car scanned for codes bulb or not i bet there is some codes stuck in there.

Didn't pay much for it so no worries there. Im assuming CEL removed due to the o2 sensors being removed so it didn't throw codes all the time. I'll give some of these a try. Hopefuly it's just somthing silly and a minor fix.
