2000 Honda Civic Power Mirrors not working
Hey everyone. Working on a 2000 Honda Civic EX 2 door. I had to replace the power mirrors and bought some aftermarket power mirrors that did not have a wire harness. When I was connecting the wires for the driver side I completed the setup and the mirror opperated backwards. I then connected the passenger side mirror and accidently sparked a wire when I was connecting the mirror to power. Now neither one of the power mirrors work. I followed back the power with my voltage meter and no power is at either mirror so the mirror motor is fine, I tested the master control mirror switch and there was no power, I then tested the relay fuze under the dash for the power mirror relay and there was no power there either. I am assuming that there is a problem between the fuze box under the dash and the battery connection. Does anyone know where the wires go from the fuze box under the dash? I might have to run new power wires to the fuze box if the wires arched back beyond the fuze box, but if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Sorry this is so long.

Re: 2000 Honda Civic Power Mirrors not working (RonJ@HT)
I have not rewired yet. So it should still be stock through the power mirror 7.5 relay. I cannot find another fuses that run the mirors. The power windows and locks all have relays and they also have a fuse for the power. My question is what powers the relay switch since there is no power to the fuse under the dash at the power mirror relay. Now modifications at the fuse box yet, I only modified the wire harness at the mirror. Thanks

The power mirror circuit has no relay just the switch (see circuit diagram). Fuses 41 and 42 via the ignition switch are needed to provide power to fuse 16, which protects the power mirror circuit.
How exactly are you testing for battery voltage at fuse 16?

I also have an issue with my power mirrors in my 2000 Si. They will go left, right and down but not up for either side. The diagram you provided is really confusing. Help if you can.

The spark you are referring to is usually a fuse blowing...Nothing else should be damaged, that's the entire point of the fuse.

Re: 2000 Honda Civic Power Mirrors not working
Hate to bump this, but I have power at both mirrors. Passenger works up,down, right, left.
Driver mirror does not work at all regardless of which way I wired it. (aftermarket splooge). Mirror confirmed working.
While testing with a test light Up,right works while switch is on left (driver mirror) while down, left do not work.
Also all power windows work from main control unit Up and down except passenger. Won't work up or down.
wiggled wires in the main door harness and still nothing. Thinking a ground, but other than main engine/main relay what else could it be?

Re: 2000 Honda Civic Power Mirrors not working
Believe I found my power mirror problem. A burnt trace inside the switch itself.
checked, cleaned and recheck all known to me grounds and checked all solder joint inside the main PW switch unit. saw some dry looking joints so added some solder and still no go on the pass. side window operating from the main unit. Kind of hard for me to believe just a pin in the door harness, but going to remove the fender tomorrow and see what the case really is.
