2000 Honda Civic Instrument Panel Question
I would like to replace the instrument panel bulbs on my 2000 Honda Civic as only part of it is lit. Now I have partially removed the instrument panel so I could access the bulbs. There is a series of bulbs in the back. Some have a brown plug (about 4 or 5 of these) and some have a black plug and all say Toshiba V-2. I'm guessing the brown ones are for the backlight for the instrument panel and the black ones are for the individual indicator lights (low fuel, emergency brake, etc). Can someone confirm this? Also, does anyone know what size bulb goes in here? My friend told me it was a 194 but that one was too big. Thank you for your time!

Re: 2000 Honda Civic Instrument Panel Question (dpolishsensation)
Toshiba V-2 is the plastic socket. #74 type automotive bulbs fit in the Toshiba V-2 twist base socket. Carefully pull the bulb out. I had to use plyers covered by a paper towel (to gently pull it out) Don't crush the bulb or you'll have to get a new plastic socket.
