2000 Honda Civic DX cracked manifold
I was replacing my 02 sensor due to a check engine light that came up and while replacing o2 sensor I noticed a long crack in the manifold...questions
Can I drive it like this, I don't know how long its been cracked but it definitely doesn't look recent?
I wont pay for an OEM replacement so I was looking after-market, unfortunately I cant find a header specifically for this model. Can I put in an EX header and what extra parts will I need if I do so?

Sadly this happens all the time, i belive honda had a recal or something about just this.
With the ex header you should put in a ex exhuast or have your dx exhuast modified to fit.
Youll also need the ex cat, and you might need to extend the one o2 sensors wires.

To have a "legal" set up without getting another DX manifold that will eventually crack again... 
. you can use the EX upper and lower manifold, EX cat., and EX mid-pipe/b-pipe.
two good options:
a] find the manifold and mid-pipe from a junkyard car, get a new cat (magnaflow OE replacement is affordable and has worked well for me in the past)
b] make the best of it and upgrade to an after market header and cat-back with either replacement or high-flow cat, all for EX.
. you can use the EX upper and lower manifold, EX cat., and EX mid-pipe/b-pipe. two good options:

So I basically have to buy full OEM EX exhaust system if I cant find a dx manifold to remain "legal"?
If I get the headers I need a cat back as well? What about stock upstream o2 sensor? I didn't notice any after-market ones with the factory o2 bung location.
Can anyone give me recommendations on a reasonably priced after-market solution to my bad manifold? Linked parts appreciated.

I would think the cheapest and easiest solution for a good fix would be to buy a d series header for like a 92-95 sohc civic application and a good aftermarket cat say something like a magnaflow unit. You could probably get the pair for about $250-300

The cat. would be the only part you would need to buy new (some aftermarket OE quality brand) if you could get the rest of the system from the junk yard. will they not sell you the rest of the system minus the cat?
