2000 ex d16y8 Swap b18c1

I plan on doing a GSR swap into my 00 civic. Can someone give me a platform of what to begin purchasing? brackets? or mounts? axels? Anything and everything that I will need to do this swap clean and without troubles. I have looked at a lot of other threads so I have an idea. But it seems with every car it is a tad different. Do I get any type of benifit because my car is already running a vtec engine? Does it help that it is a 00 and not a later generation? Once again I know there has been like 2000 of these threads, but it seems that they are for different cars. If anything maybe you can link me to threads that can help. I appreciate the help and sorry for being the new guy with a 1000 questions, and ideas.

Why do you want to swap???

Dont get me wrong I would kill to drop a turbo for my d16. But With my current situation and budget, I have to do the safest hp moderations. With my little experience I feel that dropping a GSR and a few mods will be less likely to damage the engine internally then boosting it. Because if my car has the potential to boost real high, I probly will try to do it, just to see. I think that a GSR has good numbers, and right now I can get a killer deal for one. I can get engine, tranny, ecu, and engine harness. And have close to 2,000 left over to spend on getting it in there. Trust me I would love to boost, I just dont think it will be safe. Plus I can have my car in the shop for scheduled swaps, I just cant have my car blow up on me one day. I know it sounds like I dont trust turbo's a lot. I know a fair bit about them I just have heard and seen the horror stories. So to answer your question, I want good numbers, I can get the swap cheap, I have a good mechanic, and I want later potential in life.

theres alot of threads like this. you forgot some important stuff. be more specific

1. what year is the motor
2. what ecu it comes with
3. harness from what?
4. list goes on

everything you need to know is on honda-tech.

OK here's the thing. I understand you want reliability. But for the price for the swap and everything needed for it, plus a couple of bolt ons. you could peice together a turbo kit, even build a solid block capable of high boost. I myself kept my D16y8 and boosted it. I have a stock block and have been boosting 10psi for over 2 years now. No major problems at all. I'm getting 215whp and 180tq. It's all in the tune. Try to get those numbers out a N/A gsr engine without spending some money. All I'm saying is that you can reliably boost the D16 and get way more power for far less money than a swap.
