Re: 2000 EX b16b swap (andyjt)
why would you use the JDM Harness?
The stock civic harness will plug in except for maybe the alternator plug, IAT, and maybe one or two other things. No point in extending half of your harness, screwing it up and causing headaches. Drop that sucker in just like any other b16. See if the ecu plugs into your harness, it should and if it doesn't then just run a chipped ecu

it would certainly be easier to use the stock harness and modify as needed... it's not like you could plug in the CTR harness anyways...

Stock harness is hacked beyond belief.
Why could you no plug in the CTR harness. 2 engine harness's plug into the ecu and the body connector plugs right in.
Any other issues will arrise?

agreed, or get your hands on a 99 si harness if you can... or even another stock harness... good luck...

I ended up just pulling the harness off the clips behind the intake manifold and Turned the ecu connector side facing up vs. down.
Plugged in and runs perfext no CELs whatsoever.
I ended up using the CTR harness so i didnt have a bunch of left over plugs( vtec press., CKP, Evaporative canister, etc.)
