2000 em1 CEL number 8? Nothing seems to be wrong but the code?

Default 2000 em1 CEL number 8? Nothing seems to be wrong but the code?

Havent really got into testing it but today driving to work check engine light came up....but only problems is i dont have any symptoms of anything being wrong still have full power, idles fine, revs arent cut....any ideas on whats wrong to get me in the right direction?

Since you've already pulled the code, reset the ECU and see if it comes back. Either remove the ECU fuse, or disconnect the positive battery terminal, try to start the car (to discharge remaining power in the system), reinstall the fuse/terminal, and continue as usual.

Simple 2 way bypass valve was rusted right up. Replaced and good to go. Thats one of the most common things apparently when you start hitting up the 200k range!
