2000 EK Hatch with B18c... Weird Problem.

2000 EK Hatch with B18c... Weird Problem.
Just what the topic says...b18c R in 2000 ek hatch.
I've had the motor in for 2 months..just started doing this.
The motor seems to cut out, like it stutters in the power band and jumps around 4 or 5
times before in goes into vtec then it takes off? This happens alot in 3rd gear or 4th gear on the freeway
between 4000 rpms until vtec. I can be sitting at a stable rpm on the freeway and it wont do it unless I give it about
50% throttle then it does it real bad? It's good size jerks in the power.. like it has a loss of air? fuel? spark?
maybe like a foul plug?? so i Changed the plugs. (same problem)
I checked the disturbator rotor? not loose?
brand new spark plug cables.
let me know what you guys think could be it.

no, your O2 sensor can be messed up without throwing a code. mine is going bad. sometimes my car spudders when i start it after driving beforhand (like going into a store and leaving). its like the O2 reacts slowly when its not warmed up all the way. it also affects my gas milage. they are kind of expensive so i would try you ignition coil to see if you are getting enough spark.

I had almost the same problem with my 00 jdm ITR in my EK. Only difference is that mine did it at 5500 until i get into vtec, then afte a few months it just wouldn't let me get into vtec. I changed my spark plugs and wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, fuel filter and still had the problem. Checked the coil and igniter and they were bad. Check that or replace it. Good luck.

did u use the injectors from ur dx motor when u did this swap? u know they are only 190cc's not 240cc's like all other civic injectors.. this could cause u to run lean
