Default 2000 civic timing belt trouble

I can not get the crankshaft pulley to unbolt! It just moves when i go to turn it, the belt is already off and i have a automatic so i dont know how to keep it from moving. Would i be able to just have someone put it in drive and apply the brake or will it still move? If anyone has any ideas or actual write ups let me know. Thanks everyone.

I have used a pair of vise-grips in the past when i was in a pinch laying in a parking lot one time. Just clamp them to the pulley and turn it until it hits the frame rail and break it loose. I was working with a pair of vise-grips and a single L shaped lug wrench. Its gonna be on there tight so i would advise using your foot to get it loose, it makes things a lil easier. Yea i know its kinda ghetto but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have my car in my auto shop so we have many tools. Is there a better way? i tried a impact gun but it doesnt go anywhere and when i try to apply the breaker bar it spins on me. I appreciate your one idea which i will try but is there a less ghetto way?

how many psi is your impact gun/compressor? also try to find a shorter air hose to connect from the air compressor to the gun, cause the longer the hose the more power it will loose.

Man you gotta get something to pry in between the teeth on the flywheel to get it to quit spinning. Haha done this many times in friends drive ways without power tools just got a crazy extension/ prybar setup going to get crazy leverage on the crank pulley bolt, that thing is tight as hell most of the time, try not to break **** when you do this it gets kinda dangerous sometimes, haha.
