2000 Civic Si - P0505 code and wire harness
Hey H-T!
Yesterday Evening I took my wife out to a movie of which is unfortunately located in a area known for theft. Knowing such, I removed the cap off the grey plug located under the Intake Manifold. (Just for extra security, as I wait for my Anti-Theft system to come in the mail)
I don't know the name of it, but here's a picture of it i found on the Forums:
Once I returned from the movies, I plugged the cap back in. And the car immediately ran like crap and threw a CEL. Of which is (P0505).
My question: Is the cap I removed from the plug located in the picture have anything to do with the IACV? Or is it just coincidence that it the CEL came on after I plugged it back in?

Why not troubleshoot the wiring and you'll know. There's only two wires on there that you need to check for continuity, check ground when key on ( because the ecu provides that ground to those blocks ). and check for voltage when key on.

So you're suggesting I check for continuity on these plugs, to determine if they are associated with the IACV?
The one thing I remember about these plugs is that the car will not run with out it, since they're tied to fuel input for the car. I just cannot remember for the life of me if these plugs have an alternate use.

I went out to my car over my break and found that the Vacuum hose from the Cruise control unit that goes to the I/M wasn't connected. Plugged it in and the idle corrected. So I'm assuming the plug shown in the pictures above doesn't have anything to do with the IACV .... Of course, correct me if I am mistaken.
