Default 2000 civic si help

how do you know if you have a bad pistons or rods(my car does not start up ...but it will crank up..)i drove the car the other day and it was runing fine ....
i just found out my cluster and radio don't work ..but my barttery is good horn work very well..and i didn't not hear the buzzing noise when you turn the ignition on

either better define your problems and questions or find a mechanic because it sounds like you know nothing about cars. sorry if that sounds harsh.

no problem then, if your rod or piston was bad and you were cranking the car you would hear it.

and engine needs 5 basic things to run and these are the only things that can be taken away that will keep it from running.

fuel
air
spark
timing
compressing

figure out what you DONT have, and then figure out why. and make friends with people that know how to work on cars. as long as your willing to read and learn you should have no problem.

thanx for the info... i will try the step 2mmmorw ...1 other qustion how come my cluster and radio don't work ..but my barttery is good (i check the fuse under the hood and it look good? and didn't not hear the buzzing noise when you turn the ignition on

did they work before then stop? id try replacing the fuse anyway, just because it doesnt look bad doesnt me it isnt

i drove the car like 2day ago.. park it ... next morningi try starting the car and it will not crank over

the battery is in great shap(i try the horn test)even check the fuse under the hood 7.5 a amp ..... i know that i do not have bad pistion and rod b/c the motor only have 58k mile on it

just because your horn works, doesnt mean your battery is strong enough to start the car. try jumping it or push starting it.

does it make a clicking sound when you try to start it if it does jump your car its the battery
