2000 civic SI (EM1) stolen Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ
about 30 minutes ago, my 2 way pager went off and i went outside my dorm room to see wtf was going on. right when i got to the spot where i parked, i heard my car go off the lot. i really don't know how the **** they stole it. i had a viper 5901 2 way pager and a ravelco kill-switch, but they stole the vehicle in under a minute. please look out for my car if you're in the area. it's a stock em1, with a apex'i ws2 exhaust. ****ing sucks.

bummer dude... seems like its getting harder and harder to come across an em1 lately and this is probably one of the leading causes- that and people like me totaling them
but, sorry to hear about that man. i cant imagine hearing my em1 drive off for the last time with some random person in it. good luck though!

Seems less of a hassle than bypassing the Ravelco AND such a good alarm.
Where was the alarm installed??? And was it stealth installed or just basic stuff it all under the dash install? I'd say;
1. Friend who knew your car well
2. Alarm installer/Ravelco installer ( or friend of the installer)
3. TOW TRUCK. ( The Ultimate)

dam are you that guy that post like a couple months ago about having your Si broken into?
will first of all you dont have a clutch lock and a club i bet. they cant bypass those that easily. takes a bit if they do try. a lot of people did tell you about those i bet on that too. and that ravelco thing, looks like you can bypass it with a wire from the + to the starter and bam there you go, looks to me like its just another kill switch but cost 200 to 400 dollars.
well sorry for your lost!!!!!! hope this dont happen to me. im prepare. i think!!!

it was a full steal install with hidden wires and the brain was well hidden under the center column with back-up battery and siren. the message on my pager was: shock sensor, shock sensor, trunk open.
no, it did not get towed, especially at 10:25 in the morning. right when i got to the parking lot, i heard the exhaust from my car leaving the lot. i called the police right then.
only a few of my close friends know about my alarm/ravelco and most of them aren't into cars.
i'm just really baffled on how they bypassed everything before i got outside. it was really gone in 60 seconds. i don't know how they bypassed the ravelco, because it saved me 2 other times. my guess is...first semester of school, my car was attempted, but they failed and took my shift ****, wipers, cluster, seat-belt covers. he probably waited until this semester and figured it out and scoped me out. it has to have been the same guy from earlier.

yes i bet its same guy from the earlier attempts. does your friends talk about your car maybe something slip out and the guy who stole it was there. My bet it that it is someone who stays around you and your friends.

yo sorry for your loss, they stole my EM1 back in September at my job.....I used to park my **** at Rutgers in NB all the time being that my girl goes there and used to dorm there.....I made sure i put my boot on every single time, even if i was going in for 2 minutes.
