well the problem only happens in the driver side door and the window wont go down or up... the funny thing is that the same switch on my driver side door does control the passanger side so that must only mean the switch works, right? what should i look into? i hate having to open the door instead of putting the window down/up.... thanks!

You should see if the motor is getting 12v with the switch depressed. You should also see if the switch is working. Just because one switch is working doesn't mean all of them are.

yea but what im saying is the driver side switch works if i put the passanger side down/up... what motor do i check?

The motor in your driver side door. Check the connector to see if it gets + or - 12v when the switch is pressed. If so, you have a bad motor.

You will have to take off the panel. You can test the motor, by putting power directly to the plug and see if the window goes up or down, if not then the motor is bad.

Also check voltage to the plug from the harness coming in the door.

When you do the drivers side window do you hear any noise, like it wants to move but can't?

it does make a noise but i dont know if its normal... the last few times ive put the window down it would take like 10 clicks for it to finally go up/down.... now it just does nothing for the driver side but the passenger works perfect...

how do i put power directly to the motor?

Use little jumpers and wire up to your battery or to a spare 12v. Little clicks you say... If the motor still turns and the window does nothing, it could be the drive gear which is a cheap replacement on most cars. If it is your regulator, that is a pain.
