2000 civic si, dies randomly, won't start for random amount of time
So my 2000 Civic Si has just been randomly dying, sometimes while driving usually from idle, and then won't start for 10 minutes/hours later. It will run perfect for random amount of time (days/weeks) Sometimes while driving I can feel like a little sputter, momentary loss of power, like a hiccup
A shop had it for over a week, and couldn't get it to die, they put like 70 miles on it driving it around, so I just got it back with no idea.
I can hear the fuel pump whirring when I turn the key on, it clicks as the CEL light goes off....just cranks and cranks.
It's dead right now, for about 3 hours now.
Recently had lots of ignition troubles, got a new coil, cap, rotor recently, and new ECU. It's also like 100 degrees out.
Anyone?

Re: 2000 civic si, dies randomly, won't start for random amount of time
ICM tested good. A/B on coil was 1.0, but A/B on another brand new coil I had handy was same. I let them cool off in the fridge for a couple minutes, still same.
But...one contact on the cap was bent way off, I actually put the new coil back in, and tried to adjust that contact on the cap, car fired right up. So now I don't know which one was the culprit lmao. Probably the bent contact inside the cap, gonna get another one tomorrow
