Default 2000 civic Si clutch problems.. please help a newb..

what fun would this be without the whole story.

Thursday we had a friggin' blizzard driving out of the driveway at my work to go to lunch I get stuck and slide to the side of the driveway and have to dig my self out. OK 30 minutes gone, get my burrito from chipotle(it was delicious) come back and drive on the opposite side of the driveway so I wouldn't slide off since its off camber a little. well I got the front end burried in a little snow drift. go to back out and boom. rip off my bumper. Yup got that bitch to flip up over my hood. (I got it all back together just fine with the new clips I bought at honda).. also the snow yanked off my passenger side sideskirt. and the black under carriage stuff that gos by the bumper..

Well On top of all this the clutch is now slipping. I can get going ok and get up to driving speeds ok but if I put the car in say 3rd and a low speed the clutch will slip. slips in higher gears when the rpm's go say above 4k or so.

I have no experience w/ clutch's or tranny's. Don't know **** from shinola and would appriciate any imput. I'm looking to get tips for stuff to look at etc. also how long can you put something like this off. Unfortunately this is going to be a huuuge hit to my pockets and trying to get to and from work is my only priority I suppose. otherwise I can borrow my gf's truck to run around at night.

Tips? Suggestions? we landed on the moon? etc.

Thanks
JP

sounds like your clutch is going out. Did you notice this happening before your whole snow encounter?

No. Not that I noticed at least. I drive very lightly. No racing from lights. No crazy hard shifts. just a short commute from work to home.
Thanks

i got a 00 em1 with 113xxx KM on it, stock clutch assembly.

it has no problem at all but i only need to step like 1/4 of the clutch pedal for it to engage

is this a sign that my clutch is wearing down?

thanks
