Default 2000 Civic SI

I just recently got an SI in pretty bad shape. The car was a theft recovery and whoever stole it stole the front head rests, rear seats, trunk carpeting, front bumper, grill and hood. They were about to strip the engine but the cops caught the guy before that. Right now i have the stock b16a2 vtech in it, the guy who owned it before put on an AEM cold air, DC 421 headers, an upgraded exhuast (don't know what it is but it sounds nice) and new springs.

right now im putting the interior and exterior back together but what should i do after that? i want to keep the exterior stock and no turbo all engine.

any ideas would be great thanks guys.

Bore the throttle body, new intake manifold, get rid of the cat, port and polish the head, cams, cam gears, raise compression, run better gas, GET IT TUNED.

Done.

Why would you say vtech? Clearly you must have opened your hood at some point and seen it spelled VTEC in nice big silver letters...

you should start by looking at how much money you have and run a damn search to see you options. BTW, its capital V, capital T, capital E and capital C. Its about as hard to spell as to run a search or look at the stickies at the top of threads...Im just sick of these threads. Welcome aboard.

Throttle body and port/polish alone will result in a loss of bottom end torque. But he also said to add the following:

new intake manifold, get rid of the cat, port and polish the head, cams, cam gears, raise compression, run better gas, GET IT TUNED.

All these mods work together and combined with a good tune will result in a very fast car.

why don't you spend some time here first, reading etc.... and learning..
till you have enough knowledge and don't have to ask us what to do,
then you know what to do

good luck

Because your a little short of knowledge, why not sell the car, and buy one thats already done, so you dont have to worry your head with figuring out what to do.

It's pretty hard to tell you what to do with it if you don't know what you want out of it or have a budget set. Don't mod it untill you can figure it out yourself. I have a feeling that you're just going to start throwing parts at the car and expecting it to run hard. It won't.

I would take out the vtech and go put it in your house, so you can have caller id.

go check out the all-motor section, you can get a good idea of what to do. My thing is quality over quantity, sure you could spend $1000 on ebay and get a cheap exhaust, intake, intake manifold , header etc. but youd be better of takin your time and gettin one good part when you can afford it , n/a gets expensive. good luck wit ur project.
