2000 civic rear bumper fit 1996
I';ve got a 1996 civic coupe, wnated to upgrade rear bumper. The 2000 rear bump
er looks better because it has a moulded lip, will this bumper fit my car?

Absolutely wrong 100%. ALL 1996-2000 Civic coupe/sedan rear bumpers are interchangeable.

The bumpers are different believe it or not. I checked the Honda Part # and they are different but will fit.
I got one on my 1997.
I got one on my 1997.

What color is your car man I have a red 00 si rear bumper in mint condition on a wrecked car I bought from the junkyard that Im needing to get rid of CHEAP!

It's a black SI, if you had a black one i'd probably take it!. Yeah the the bumper on the 99-00 has a nice moulded lip. Ah yeah the front end looks a biut similar but is a totally diffrent fit, not interchageable.

Of course the rear bumper part numbers for '96-98 are different because of the lip. They are still interchangeable with '99-00.
By the way, I have always wondered why Honda changed the front end in '99-00, while it still looks pretty much identical. Why not just do what the did with the rear and just put a bumper with a lip on it?
