2000 Civic Passenger Seat Lever Wire Broke *Help on Replacement Part*
So I noticed my passenger seat won't move forward or backwards anymore and I noticed that a wire piece was laying in the floorboard and I checked under the seat and noticed that it is the wire that releases the oposite side when you raise the lever to move the seat forward and backwards. Does anyone know where to buy this replacement part. I know I could use a coat hanger but anyone else know where I can get OEM and not ghetto rigged. It's a 2000 Civic BTW. Thanks!

Unfortunately, you can't buy the wire and the two washers separately. They're included with the inner seat rail/reclining cable setup (which costs approx. $80). Your best bet is a scrap yard.
Props to you for not choosing the ghetto route -- you're of a dying breed.

Haha thanks bro! Yeh I saw that Honda sells it as a whole just thought I'd try asking. That helped answer my question. Thanks again bro!

Re: 2000 Civic Passenger Seat Lever Wire Broke *Help on Replacement Part*
this is an easy fix. I used an old coat hanger that I had laying around the house. I bent one end before installing it and hooked the side closest to the door first the fed the unbent end threw the loop closes to the driver side and bent the loop in it with a pair of pliers. Works just fine now. Make sure prior to making the fix that both sides of the bracket are on the same notch or the chair will be uneven. Hope this helps!
