2000 Civic LX need replace struts!
I have 160K+ mileage on my Civic now... want to replace the struts for safe driving.
Does anyone have any idea how much does this cost? I don't want to go to car repair shop without any price in mind. Thx!

repair shop or performance shop?
most performance shops will be around 50$ a corner plus parts. a repair shop may do a macpherson install for idk 69.95 but you will get junk and a crap install.

I don't even know there is sth like performance shops exist!
So, what you mean is performance shops are more expensive but do a damn good job? How do I tell if it is a performance shop or repair shop?

as boosted boostedcivicsir said get good struts, cheap ones suck, i'm still rockin' my original honda struts at 192,000 miles. they still aren't leaking, rears are a little weak though, but not bad. Something i've noticed is people seem to jump on the struts when the car starts to wander, but they neglect the suspension bushings, the front LCA bushings and rear upper control arm bushings seem to wear the most from what i've seen and if they're bad the car wont handle like it should, i would check this out as well.

im not saying to go to one, but i think youll get a better product and if the place has a concience, youll get a better install.
but if you are short on loot, go see the boys (pep boys sorry) and have one of their monroe sensatrac deals installed.
