2000 civic hesitating to start when the engine is hot
Heyo. I just rebuilt and dropped a d16y8 into my 2000 Honda civic. Starts up fine when it's cold, but after driving for 15/20 min it struggles to start up again. Any suggestions as to what could be causing this? I'm more familiar with cold start issues so I'm at a bit of a loss here.

Re: 2000 civic hesitating to start when the engine is hot
If it's more random than just when it's hot it could be the component that's near the steering wheel underneath that has electronics. sometimes it has cold solder issue which makes it unreliable, especially when it gets hot or weather changes. the fix is to take it appart and resolder everything. It's a black rectangular electric component/box maybe 1" by 1/3", held by 1 screw.
Otherwise check the battery voltage cold and warm, and make sure the battery is not dead or dying. It could also be a fuel intake issue maybe your fuel filter is getting clogged. It could also be spark plug wires, if they're faulty it can short to the engine and do weird stuff...
