I know that is a pretty silly question, but where I change my oil isn't where I have all my tools stored, and can never remember what size socket I need for the drain plug bolt. I know it is pretty large but can't remember what size. Just want to make sure I take the right wrench. I am going to mark it when I find out. This is only the 3rd oil change since owning the car.

Only at 17mm. Hmm, wonder if the p.o. replaced it with something with a larger head on it? It seems like it was much bigger than a 17 the last time I changed it. I know they didn't have any work done at Honda, but at some local place that didn't use very many quality parts when they did things. I wonder if they replaced the drain plug.

I can't go out and check since it is my g-friends car and she lives 30 miles from me.

It should only be a 17mm. I wouldn't recommend anything larger than that. That is one thread that you would NOT want to strip.
