2000 Civic Ex A/C problem, please give advice.
My a/c was working fine yesterday, while i as driving down the road i started smelling burnt rubber. Then my ac did not work anymore. Now everytime i turn on the ac, it makes odd noises. Could it be my compressor? Now texas weather is extremely hot, and I HAVE NO A/C please help.
if it is my compressor, would a 99-00 civic si compressor fit on my car? what about a 01 compressor. Thanks in advanced .

sounds like your compressor took a crap, i think a si compressor would work but call your local honda dealer to double check... as for the 01 dont know, thats a completely diff chassis and motor...

Check your AC belt to see if it is still there!
Check the rubber AC lines for visible holes.
If you can't find anything out of the ordinary, you'll probably have to have the dealership look at it. They can pressure test the system.
