Default 2000 civic ex

hello guys ive been to a few people about my civic and they try and fix it and nothing works so i thought to come to youguys!! okay first i just bought it about 2 months ago the check engine light was on got it for $1500 the guy let me drive it hard to show me it runs good so after i bought it a month later i drive and it bogs down every time rpm get to like 4 its a stick so u just have to keep shifting or the whole car bounces back and forth i turn it off and on and sometimes it goes back to normal other times it stayss the same when its idleing it sounds normal but when it does it u can tell how the idleing changes when its not working right the guy said its the distrubuter idk if i should buy a new one thats 120$ and might not work??

What code is it throwing? Take it to a auto parts store and they will pull the code for free. It could be the dizzy, but you could always just pull one from junkyard. Are you in the tac?
