2000 civic click when starting then shuts off
My civic has been doing doing this thing where when you go to turn it on, you hear a click once every time you try to crank it over, it usually takes a few times until it finally starts up. The newest symptom is that it'll just make a loud "snap" sound and turn completely off, no lights, no nothing. If anyone has any experience with this I'd appreciate it.

Re: 2000 civic click when starting then shuts off
I had the same thing in my 97 i replaced the battery terminals and it fixed it. Then it happened again recently turn key to start and lose all power and have to disconnect the battery and reconnect it to get power back. But this time i had to hot wire the starter and once it cranked over reconnect the factory connector and it has crankec fine since. It was wierd like a shortage or something to the starter internally maybe that i ran enough voltage to unstick the solenoid maybe. Anyways those are the two times i had those issues and what i did to fix it. But id ckean n check battery terminal connections and grounding straps first.
