Default 2000 b18c5 swap in a 2000 Civic EX

What has to be done and what needs to be bought to swap a b18c5 in a 2000 civic ex coupe? My friend is thinking of doing this because he found a full swap (motor, tranny, ecu, engine harness, axles, motor mounts, shift linkage, etc.) for a good price. Any info on this swap would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

you need the 99-00 SI rear L bracket..and 99-00 si driver side mount... the EX harness works fine you just need to extend a few wires.. i dont belive the ITR ecu works for the civic either.. i would do obd1 conversion harness and a chipped obd1 ecu

you need 99-00 si mounts and if you can try finding a si harness too or you can extend some wires on yours. the ecu will work but for tuning purposes i would convert and run obd-1

Use your existing harness, Use 99-00 Si Drivers side mount, 99-00 Si Rear bracket, 99-00 Si Shift linkage, and 99-00 Si Axles. You are able to use the 2000 ITR ecu as well.

Good luck with it.

Just a little FYI you will have a hard time getting the motor to start using the ECU that comes with that motor since there is a built in engine imobilizer. You would need to use the ECU from like a 98 since they didnt make the ITR in 99. Some people say you can take it to honda and they can fix it for you however i had no luck with this. Good Luck!
