2 very e-z vafcII questions
im installing on an eg
1) the only two wires i dont need is the orange and light blue coming from the vafc right?
2) do i need to use those plugs (circled in red)? or can i splice those wires? i think the only reason why they are there is so if i uninstall my vafc i can just connect the ecu wires with those plugs. am i right? i obught my vafc2 used and do not have all the connectors
thanks!!

ok my neo uses the same diagram.
first off what car do you have? i have a 96 cx with the mini me swap so my motor is a d16y8. you may not have the vtm wire in your harness. but yes you can splice them but i would just use butt connectors like it says incase you neec to uninstall it or run different wiring. all you have to do is disrupt the signal going from the ecu to the vtec solenoid. but just remember about the VTEC unmatch that you have to correct because your ecu doesnt see that the cam has shifted over so your still going to be running low cam aif/fuel ratios.

The plugs are just quick disconnects. I always solder. I've installed a few.
What he said that you didn't follow was something to do with tuning the unit. Nothing to do with installing it.
