Whats the diffrence?


Searched... couldent find it.

There rev limitors. You dont need them.

yea but i think one cuts fuel and the other cuts spark.... just wanted to be clear.

Ones higher then the other. Imports dont usually use 3 step unless there really high up there power/low times.

2 step is usually for burn out, 3 step is for launch from what i understand. You could set the 2 step to kill fuel or spark, spark is usually what you want killed.

Just to clarify for you guys,

2 step= 2 rev limits (one for launch/burnout) and the other is the overall rev limiter.

3 step= 3 rev limits. One for launch, One for burnout and the other is the overall. Most racers using 3 steps use a certain RPM to do a burnout on(for consistent tire temps) and one to launch off. The other is the overall which is self explanitory.

Most quality EMS's and aftermarket ignition sytstem's will use an ignition cut while most of the DIY EMS's use a fuel cut. Both can build boost and both are safe IMO.
