2-seater hatch sports car
I've always wanted 2-seater sports car, and I love my turbo hybrid hatch to death, so I figured I'd do both... I've pulled my rear seats out, and I'd like to do something to the back-end that looks good in a more permament fashion...
I was thinking of somehow carpeting it. A buddy of mine suggested chopping the metal bracket where the seatbacks attach to the middle of the car and then putting down a fitted piece of plywood and carpeting over that.... what do you guys think? Any suggestions as to how I can do a clean looking 2-seater conversion on my hatchie? Anyone else done it or have pics of such a project?

Re: 2-seater hatch sports car (servion)
install a roll cage that takes up the WHOLE back area! actually a roll cage would be phat and it may take up some space back there. personally i would just strip it down to bare metal but thats just me. you could put a mean system back there good luck

I like the system idea... but I don't think I could handle the extra weight... I mean I love the thrill of having my chest hurt from the turbo pull more than having my chest hurt from the subs (I've had both before and much prefer the speed). I gutted that backend for the track, and kept it that way for a while, but it just looks nasty.... I'd like to keep it gutted 100% of the time, but I need it to look better and still be light

i say cut away that metal in the middle... but down the plywood through in a custom amde plexiglass box containing 2 15 inch subs and capet over... it would look kinda weird but if you did it right... WOW it would be badass

actually... just talked to my buddy... he'll sell me his old box (6 cubic feet) with 2 15's in it for cheap... 75-100 bucks. (fosgate punch)... they'd face up, but that could be a good option...

Invest in some carpet and 2 cans of 3M spray adhesive. Scrub the back end out, then vacuum. Make sure it's dry then start carpeting all the metal

I have th back seat out of mine. I have a roll cage and i am just starting to bend some sheet metal to cover everything in the back. Oh yea, also have a 20lb nitrous tank back there.

if you could carpet the back with a false floor like the plywood, and did a good job of it, i would be very impressed...it would look great...
