Default 2 quick questions: short shifter and hg

well i just got a b16 swap into my del sol. and currently have a b&m dual bend short shifter installed as well. my question is when i shift... mainly 1st to 2nd the shift feels tight and almost like a grind. it does do it with other gears but mostly the 1st to 2nd shift. is this just the feel of the short shifter with the poly bushings? and the motor is seeping a little bit of oil from the front corner hg. i know its a common problem but was wondering if re-torquing the head bolts could stop it or slow it down until i replace it later. thanks.

i have a s2 dual bend but not poly bushings, mine is just a lot better throw. If yours is sounds/feeling wierd its probly the trans. As far as a hg, you could always try retourquing them i guess.

you could try retourqing the bolts, but in my honest opinion, id just leave it alone if its a really small amount of oil.
