Default 2 questions , 1 thread

ok....

1. so whats the best way to prevent rust? I wanna hear from the body work GURU's , I live in missouri with a fresh paintjob and winter is coming soon

I am one of those incredibly picky car people that must have their car PERFECT. I know the 100% way to rustproof is to not drive it in snow ... but thats not an option

2.how much would a b18c1 sell for with (c5 head/internals , new clutch , GSR transmission (perfect condition) KMS valvetrain , p72 ECU , only 4500 miles on the motor , built by a VERY reputable guy )

basically its a b18c5 , might as well be. redlines at 9k and just needs LSD.

thanks HT

1. if your talking about preventing rust on the underbody i always spray mine every 2 years with rustoleum or my friend had his 67 mustang sprayed with some kind of rubberized coating.. not sure what it was called though its supposed to work very well but i never had issues with using rustoleum

2. engine and tranny - 2g's

Some gas station car washes have an undercarriage wash if you go for the premium version. If you run it through this periodically through the winter, I'm sure it would help some.

I REALLY want to prevent this **** like hardcore , I do not want any rust at all.

really only 2g's? even with the KMS valvetrain and only 5k miles? and I have recent videos of it running and everything it is a VERY "stock" swap basically its like brand new it has 0 issues.

on your rust question the best stuff to use on the market IMO is por 15. It bonds to the rust you all ready have on metal and prevents it from spreading as well as sealing it forever. They have a web site so check it out www.por15.com

I used POR15 when i had my bug. did the int and ext of the floor pans and the fender wells. worked awesome. when i had my yota i had the fender wells and under cab and bed done with line x. i had a buddy that worked for them so i got a real good deal. never had an issue with rust with either application.
