2 lb metal in glovebox!
i was doing some weight reduction in my civic.. just to check whatever i can take out and i was thinking aobut takeing off the glovebox.. but as i thought again what kind of dumbass drive with no glovebox.. so i took it off and i noticed that its pretty heavy in a funny way, and its plastic. so i opened the part where the handle and the inside of the glovebox is, and i found a 2 lb piece of metal. it looks useless and so i took it off and screwed the plastic parts back on. i dont know if i explained it good enough but the just take off the glovebox, then the metal plate is sandwiched in the middle of it.. you'll get what im talking about. i tihnk these plates are in 94+ integras and 92+ civic, im not sure but ohh yea i feel the weight change at 6,500 rpm.. LOL
hope this helps to some people who are into weight reduction

Subaru does this, I read it’s for car accidents so if it breaks off it falls down and doesn’t fly around. I belive Subaru does it in there arm consoles too, but thats what i read long ago
